Yesterday we had a drive through to Seaham. We had a walk along the coast and back again. The food festival was on over the weekend so we bought quite a few bits n bobs! after that it was down to the Marina for a cuppa before tackling Asda for some shopping for the farther in law. The Asda store at Seaham is just a joke, its a big store and it was very busy so they only had one person on the tills with nearly a dozen people queuing up an isle. The self serve tills are far too slow if you have more than half a dozen items. Some considerable time later we got out and away home.
Today, Sunday Angus had entered the Darlo 10k run so we had a spin down the A167. By the time we got there, there was not many car parking spaces left in the car parks before heading off down the town. He got signed on, put his number on and he was ready. It is the first time any of us has done the Darlo town centre run and looked like a good course. 48 mins later he crossed the line looking very red and sweaty. He got his medal and T shirt, over the moon then we had a look around the shops and spent some more money.
I had a look around Wheelbase and bought a pair of old stock Specialized tyres for the Cube emtb. I will hopefully get them fitted this week. Managed to get them for £50 the pair.
Jane also had to got to the Post Office which is at the back of WH Smiths so I had a look through the cycling mags and come out with this new Gravel edition from Cycling Plus. Loads of kit tested and rides, guides etc but please dont look at the rrp!
