Another local gravel out n back spin on the Specialized Creo SL E Bike

I have had another spin out on the new bike to see how its bedding in. I changed the setting on the Mission Control App for the Eco setting down to 50% power. I have also managed to get the battery percentage to read on the Garmin using the spare power ant+ channel. So now I have the percentage of battery left and the blue light bars on the top tube.
Back to the ride, I set off from the Lambton Worm on the C2C old railway line and headed up hill to Hownsgill viaduct. I had a steady headwind nearly all the way up but the line was mainly dry and mud free. On the viaduct the battery was reading 73% left (used 23%) and 8 bars after 13.75 miles . I only used eco the whole way up. On the way back it was the same route and finished doing 27.5 miles with 64% left (used 9% on return left, nearly all downhill!) battery left and 7 bars. Again I never turned it off and was in eco all the way back down. I think I will drop the power down again to maybe 45 or 40% the next time I have the app fired up on the ipad when I am near the bike. As for the ride well in was cold, around 1.5 degrees on the way up and around 3 degrees coming back down. There was patches of frost and ice on the track. The line was also very busy with other users - cyclists, walkers, dog walkers, runners, horses, children - you name it!
Below are a few snaps and a video clip, enjoy and hopefully more soon -

Onboard The Transcontinental Race Film Durham

Recyke Y'Bike will be hosting a screening of the film in our Durham shop, alongside other short adventure/bikepacking films.
Synopsis from https://onboardtcrfilm.cc/
"At the sharp end it is a beautifully hard bicycle race, simple in design but complex in execution."
But the TCR is rarely a race against fellow competitors, nor against oneself. It is, primarily, a race for oneself. To ride the TCR is to explore who you become at the side of a road in the Alps or the Balkans, low on sleep, lucidity, hygiene and any notion of comfort: in the saddle, rolling over rough tarmac sixteen or eighteen hours a day; finding what exists beyond fatigue and exhaustion.
Do you scratch? Get the train home? Or discover and escape from everything that has been holding you back.
There is everything Antonin, the director, has collected; through the eyes of the photographers, James Robertson and Camille Mcmillan; Mike Hall & Anna Haslock; and Matthieu, cap 109, a cyclist who fights a very personal battle simply to complete the race.
The TCR is much more than a race, it's a complete experience. Here, filmed during 3 races from 2016 to 2018, Onboard will immerse you in the unique experience that is the Transcontinental Race.

Fresh Goods Sunday - Shimano L03A Resin Ice-Tec Disc Brake Pads

The other week when I was washing / drying / servicing my Cannondale Synapse Neo 1 E bike I noticed the rear brake lever was coming a fair way back to the bars so I checked the LO3A pads in the Dura Ace calliper- starting to get well down so I bought a spare ready to go in when they were worn down some more. The front ones had less wear.
When I bought the Creo SL I thought the GRX callipers would have had finned pads but it came with non finned pads. I did a google and all the photos I could find on the net showed they should have come with the LO3A pads. Specialized must be penny pinching! not unless there is another reason but the ones in my Dale will last a full year with 1000's of miles on them and they have never let me down stopping or slowing down me and the E bike. I have topped 55mph and they have not over cooked yet.
So when ordered a few other parts I ordered anther two pairs to swap over onto the GRX brakes. It took a matter of minutes to do both front and rear. If these perform and last as long as the ones on my Dura Ace I will be more than happy, time will tell.
 RRP £19.99 and I paid £11.30
