Yesterday me, Jane and Arran had a trip through to South Shields. The forecast was cloudy, windy and heavy showers but we mainly had sunshine, no rain but plenty wind. We had a walk up to the town to do some shopping first then back to the car to drop that off then a walk down past the swimming baths, onto the pier and right along the beach until we reached the cliffs. We had a good sand blasting with the winds blowing the sand off the beach and onto the side of our faces. It was more sheltered on the return leg along the old road / footpath. The train was out in the park whizzing around the boating lake and it was all quiet. From there we headed back towards the centre and call in past Colemans for fish n chips, lovely!
