Beautiful mornings ride - Birtley, Consett, Baxters Farm, Home 39 miler on the Spec Creo SL E Bike

The forecast was looking very good yet again so I took the Spec Creo SL E bike out of todays exercise. I was up and out early again and there was a lovely sunrise today with an overnight frost as well. The ride started off at minus -0.5 degrees but the sun was blazing away and soon gained some heat. I dropped down the cycle path A167 to Chester Le Street then to Birtley to pick up the old railway line / C2C to Consett. There was quite a few cars on the roads early doors and plenty dog walkers.
Now here's a fact that you don't hear on the news - since the lockdown / corno etc this must have affected dog walkers backs as the vast majority of them have stopped picking up their dogs shit. The line between Birtley and Consett is like a mine field in several stretches. Not unless the corno has made dogs poo more?
Anyway on he plus side I went for several mile stretches and never seen a sole. There were no cars parked up at the picnic area outside Lanchester and the couple of short sections of road on the way home were very quiet with traffic. By the time I got back in the temperatures nearly reached 12 degrees. Below are quite a few sunny snaps, enjoy and hopefully more soon -

There will be light at the end of the tunnel!

Bike is covered in dust, you would think it was summer time, oh that should be mud then!

Used 48% of the 150% battery power to cover the 39 miles
