Back out on the bike - Sunny / muddy 48 miler on the Specialized Creo SL E bike

I did not manage to get out on the bike last week after coming back from the Lakes. It was catch up time at work and at home. I worked nearly 12 to 13 hours every day. We had a couple days of good weather as well for a change last week in between the snow, hail, rain and wind. I did manage a 2 hour plus walk on Thursday afternoon but that was it. We had another stupid storm name at the weekend. It was not that bad apart from the 50 mph winds.
Today the forecast was dry, sunny and wind has dropped down to around 20mph! so I took the Creo SL for a longer bash. It was just a local route mainly using old railway lines / country lanes. The lines are still wet / muddy and the overnight frost had melted making some sections like treacle. The wind was bad on the higher ground so did not make it to Parkhead the outward road leg to Willington was a killer. It was a cold ride to start with the temperature 2.7 degrees on the Garmin on the tops and rising to nearly 10 degrees once back to lower ground. The lines and roads were busy with loads of people out and about today.
All in I covered 48 miles, 3hrs 39mins, ave 13.1mps, ave 163hr, 2600ft of climbing, max speed 49mph! I had the extender battery fitted but by the looks of the indicator on the top tube I did not use any. I had 57% left from the 150%.
Below are a few sunny snaps and a short video clip, time to recharge the bike and give a wash / dry & lube. Enjoy and hopefully more soon -
