A rather damp and muddy spin around Co Durham's old Railway Lines

Well after yesterdays near continuous rain from 8am to 2am this morning - 18 hours we had a sunrise this morning and it was not too cold with the Garmin hovering around 11-13 degrees. As you can imagine anything off road was damp to say the least. On the plus side most of the old railway lines did not have many big puddles and they drain very well apart from the wooded sections where there is an inch a brown slop. It was the same loop I did last week but with a slightly different end. There was hardly a sole out and about early doors apart from a few dog walkers and a couple of commuter cyclists. The inter linking road sections were quiet as well. The Creo gravel bike was going well apart from the Pirelli tyres, its like trying to skate on ice when going into corners or through silty puddles/sections. Looking at the long term forecast as ever with most of Co Durham's schools breaking up this Wednesday/Thursday/Friday its forecast rain every day for the next 14 days with a high of 16 degrees, I will not be breaking a sweat in that! Anyway below are a few snaps from the ride, enjoy and hopefully more soon-
