Weekend catch up - more cycling and walking

This morning the forecast was looking good so me and Jane went out for a quick spin on the bikes. I was feeling tired and rough so did not want to go too far so we decided on an out n back along the old railway to Consett then over Hownsgill viaduct to A68 crossing, turned and come home. It was not that cold on the way out and it was lovely and sunny. The lines were not that busy either but on the way back it clouded over in several places and we had a chilling headwind nearly all the way back. Once we were past Lanchester the sun came back out and it soon warmed us up again. Wen we got back home I washed / dried and lubed / charged the bikes up ready for the next outing which will probably be very soon! Below are a few snaps from the ride, enjoy and Saturdays hike is at the bottom.

Saturdays forecast was not that good in the morning so Jane decided to go for our shopping at Dragonville then we a hike into Durham. It was cloudy with a cold wind but still pleasant and dry. There was quiet a few others out doing their once a day exercise. etc. Once we reached the market place Jane went to WH Smiths for some cards and more shopping in Tesco Extra. The city centre was very quiet with just Tesco and WH open. After that we had a hike back to Dragonville up all the hills we had just come down! all in just under 10000 steps.
