The dusty railway lines have finally had a rain storm in Co Durham

 


Well we have finally had some rain. Yesterday afternoon and last night it lashed down with very heavy rain showers. Today it had dried up and there was on and off sunshine for the whole ride. I was expecting some massive puddles from the storms but just a couple at the usual spot outside Brandon on the old railway line. The lines are not dusty anymore but still in very good condition. The ground is that hard the rain probably just ran off the top and not soaked through. It was my usual loop Bishop, Brandon, Croxdale, Tudhoe, Spenny then back to Bishop. There was a few others out n about but not that busy. Below are a few snaps from the 19 miles with 750ft of climbing. Enjoy and hopefully more soon -
