Another lovely sun and hot ride up the Waskerley Way

 


Well another sunny and red hot day again here in Co Durham. Todays ride was a simple out n back route with a couple of road diversions on the way back to break it up. I hoped on to the old railway line, C2C and headed off up to Consett, crossed Hownsgill viaduct and kept on going up to the last car park on the Waskerley Way. At the gate I turned and headed back down. I did a couple of road sections on the way back, through Consett town centre and around Greencroft / Annfield Plain to miss out the heavily overgrown stretch around the fishing pond etc. There was a few others out but not many. The Garmin topped out at 26 degrees but there was a cool stiff breeze which made it up more pleasant to ride in.
