Well Co Durham has finally got the heatwave. Sunny and red hot since Sunday afternoon and forecasted for the rest of the week. Still no where near as hot as the rest of the country thank god! No time for a ride yesterday but managed one today on my Cannondale Synapse Neo. My road Creo is in dry dock as they say at the mo hopefully getting the Di2 back working again. It would have been nice to take it out this week in the sun, it might be back soon if its a quick fix. Anyway back to todays local road ride I headed off up into the hills of Weardale then over into Northumberland and back into County Durham. There was stiff cooling breeze on the tops but where it was sheltered from the wind it was baking hot. I wanted to do a longer route and get a few more miles in but my legs were saying no.
