Spin back from Meadowfield via Durham with Jane

Today we had to drop the van off at Meadowfield so we put the bikes in the back to have a ride back. The sky was dark, cloudy, blowing a gale and only 5 degrees when we left. Once we crossed the field at the sports centre to pick up the old railway line the sun started to come out and we were sheltered from the wind. The lines were lovely and quiet for a change. Once at Broompark we picked up the line to Baxters Farm then up Toll House road to Crossgate Moor. We dropped down the back of Johnston Comp through the woods to take us out in Durham. The roads in Durham were also quiet compared to the previous week. We then headed over to Maiden Castle / The Trod for a loop before heading home. All in we covered 14.5 miles.
