Fridays spin down to Durham & Maiden Castle loop - Spec Creo SL

There was a very heavy rain shower early morning but the that soon stopped and the sun came out and so did the wind! The forecast was for 50+mph and by god did it feel like it. The dusty trails / tracks are damp now but the wind will soon dry them off again. I headed down into Durham then over to Maiden Castle / Trod way but missed out Houghall woods for a change. The roads around Durham were quiet but there was loads of dog walkers, runners and cyclists out and about, it was like dodgem cars on some tracks. Still an enjoyable ride in the sun despite the wind. All in just under 13 miles in 1hr 1mins and just under 800ft of climbing.
The forecast for the bank holiday weekend is looking very hit n miss with the wind even stronger on Saturday 60+mph!
Enjoy the few snaps and below from the ride and a short video clip of the crop in the field blowing around in the wind, hopefully more soon -
