New tool week

Not sure what has happened but it seems to be new tool week this week for the Brown house hold.
We don't have a  Homebase in Durham now so when we go away if there is a Homebase near by we always call in past for a look around. When we were in Berwick last weekend they have a Homebase up there and it was lashing with rain so we went in for a look. They have a sale on and selected tools have 30% + off at the mo. I noticed they were clearing out all there NWS and Estwing hand tools. Angus likes the NWS range and I just love the Estwing range. I have been using Estwing hammers for 30 years now and just love the feel, balance and performance of their hammers. Over the years I have grown quite a collection but never had a standard club hammer, until now!
We also bought some NWS pliers, Wiss Edge straight cutters, 2no Percisefit multi tool cutters for Angus. He also received a replacement pair of Klien cutters from CEF as he old ones seized and they are his favourites.
I also bought a 4 piece screw remover set, no idea if they are any good but will give them a go when they are required, at £1.40 if they are crap I will chuck them! Also of the way back from Croft we called in past the Black & Decker / Dewalt factory shop at Spenny. The prices have gone up and you have to be careful as you can find some of the same products cheaper on the high street now. Saying that I bought two new straight and bent needle nose pliers. The quality looks ok and they feel ok, time will tell.
