Fresh Goods Sunday - STAN'S NOTUBES Tyre Sealant 473ML (Pint)

Ever since converting to tubeless on all my bikes bare one which I never use I have always used Stans as my sealant of choice. The market is totally flooded with different manufacturers churning out the stuff all claiming they are the best etc etc. Stans was one of the first on the market and I don't think they have changed the formula since the start. I use the normal tyre sealant but they also do a different model called Race sealant, 946ml quart rrp £40. It is more expensive but may give it a go if I ever see it in a sale / good price. I have the Stans injector syringe which I use if I don't pour it in tyre before seating the tyre onto the rim. It is messy stuff and everything has to be washed / cleaned after using it. It comes in various sized bottles and I normally buy the quart size rrp £30 but this smaller one was in the sale at Sigma Sports last year so added it onto my order. In hindsight I should have bought a few at this price!
It works very well on fawns and seals straight away. On some glass cuts it takes a while to seal and when the Stans comes out through the cut at high pressure it covers the whole bike and me. The bike and my clothing has to be washed when I get back in. They say not to use Co2 cartridges unless in an emergency. Once back home let all the air out and pump your tyres back up. I have never had any issues using Co2. It does dry out eventually and you need to top up now and again but it last s a lot longer than what they say on the bottle. I cannot compare it against other brands as I have only ever used Stans.

RRP £20 and I paid £5.69 from Sigma Sports inc 48hr p&p

Manufacturers blurb -
