Fresh Goods Sunday - Praxis - eCrank Set - Specialized Creo M30 Road - Carbon 172.5mm Part no - PR-EC-M30RD-1725C

I first seen these crank arms in the flesh at Biketreks Ings on an S Worsks Creo (which they still have after many years) and thought to myself by they would look like on my Creo. After buying my second Creo and using it for road use only I decided to purchase a pair of these bling carbon Praxis arms. As ever with everything in the bike parts market the rpp has gone up over the years and are now an eye watering £280 for the pair. Yes that is an astronomical amount of money for two semi mass produced cranks arms. I have paid less than that in the past for a full blown carbon chainset inc bottom bracket. Anyway they come in a box with a lovely foam cut out insert keeping them apart. The quality of the arms looks and feels brilliant. They are  highly lacquered and polished. Fitting is simple enough - remove your pedals from your old crank arms. Insert a 8mm long alley key as the existing ones are on tight from the factory. Crank the allen bolt and the arms will wind off. Clean the bb axle and surrounding area. The new crank arms come pre greased with a blue grease. I put some copper slip on the threads on the inside of the bb axle. Locate the crank arms onto the spins and tighten up the bolt to the correct torque setting 20Nm. Refit your pedals and your ready for the off. They look way better than the standard chucky alu Praxis model and you save a few grams- 68g (pair) on 172.5mm version - 34g per arm. Not that you ever notice that when riding in a million years. Another plus point is there is more heel clearance on the face of the arm. I did check the q factor as it looked a lot narrower but they are exactly the same as the alu version. After a few rides I cannot tell of any performance gains and I cannot feel any difference when riding but they look a lot better on the bike.

RRP £280 and I paid £280 from Upgrade Bikes inc next day delivery
