Another early morning dark but very windy & warm ride down to Durham / Maiden Castle n back

We have a weather warning forecasted for the next two to three days of gales and continuous rain so I was up and out at 6am for my spin down to Durham, over to Maiden  Castle, around the river banks before heading up the Trod. It was very windy in places but the Garmin was reading around 13 degrees! It was slow descent back in to Durham from the top of the Trod as I had a massive headwind. Back around Durham inc the track under the bridge which has been closed for 20 months whilst the bridge has been refurbished. Once around Durham I headed back up to Frankland, the Sands then back home. All in 14 miles in 1hr 8mins with 700ft of climbing. Below are a few dark and blurry snaps. Enjoy and hopefully more soon after the rain.
