After a full day out in Harrogate on Saturday, yesterday was a catch up day with jobs n sods so did not get out on the bike. Today I was up early again so went for a spin out on the e mtb in the dark. I did a different route down to Durham taking in Aykley Heads, DLI, Wharton Park etc. From there I dropped down North Road to pick up the Riverside then back onto my normal loop over to Maiden Castle, The Trod etc. It was lovely and quiet with hardly a sole out n about. It was warm'ish with the temperature on the Garmin reading around 10 degrees for the whole ride but there was a still wind in places. The trails are muddy again after last nights rain. Daylight was just creeping in when I finished the ride, no sunrise today either as it was cloudy / misty. All in just under 16 miles in 1hr 21 mins with 1000ft of climbing.
