Another rather nice day here in Co Durham, the temperature has gone up another notch with the Garmin reading 26.5 degrees at one point. On the other hand there was a strong wind and it clouded over on most of the return leg to keep me cooler. It was a quick out n back ride today from South Pelaw down the old railway line / C2C to Sunderland n back. There was quite a few others out and about so it was a little stop n start ride. They have finished all the patching works on this stretch of line and the new tunnel is fully opened and complete. It is also getting covered in graffiti as well, see photos below, I did not think it would last long clean. All in just under 21 miles with 850ft of climbing.
