What a lovely day to drag the road bike out for a spin around the hills of Co Durham. I was over in West Pelton so thought to myself there is plenty of scope for a hilly loop from there for a twenty odd miler. The sun was sort of in and out and was hazy with the temperature hovering around 15 degrees. There was plenty of wind on the tops which made the climbing even harder. On the way back the sun popped and so the temperature went up. The roads have been totally chokka all week and today was no different. Not a clue where all the traffic has all come from but I know more people have started going back to the office / work places this week on a phased return. I only got a couple of close'ish passes and a corker in Tanfield Lea where a car over took me at a considerable speed, well over the 30 limit then cut straight in front of me to turn left down some estate road, oh well not to worry its Friday!
All in just over 24 miles with 2200ft climbing and just over 1.5 hours. Below are a few snaps from the ride, enjoy and hopefully more soon-
