Hot & sunny local road ride with some climbing in!

Todays local road ride was even warmer than yesterdays with more hazier sunshine in places and a stiff wind on the tops. It was time to drag out the road Creo for a local loop after I had been to Willington. I had a rough idea of where I was going to go but as ever with me that changes en-route. My legs were tired to start with on the first two big hills but warmed up after that. Jim Teasdale pasted me as I was just finished the first part of the climb and he was descending, Jim if you are reading this, one day I will dump into you on the flat somewhere for a chat. It was mainly quiet lanes, back roads with a few busier inter linking sections. It was cool on the tops heading towards Tow Law with the wind blowing and the turbines spinning away. I was hoping for 40+ miler as I had the time but my legs were screaming at me after 35 miles and 40 miles yesterday. There is a photo of the route at the bottom of the blog, all in I covered just over 38 miles in 2hrs 35mins with just under 3700ft of climbing.
Below are a few sunny snaps from the ride and a short video clip, enjoy and hopefully more soon but thunder storms forecasted the next two days.
