Very warm, damp, misty muddy hike down to Durham, around Durham and back.

After yesterday's day of near continuous rain, through the night and when I woke up it was still raining, in fact it was bouncing a foot high on the road!
After 9.30am it looked like it was going to start to dry up but then the mist came down. Me and Jane dragged out all our Goretex gear and headed down to Durham. The tracks are now very wet, muddy and there are some big puddles in places. Durham was quiet and the out door market has re started but not that many stalls but still nice to see them back again. The indoor market is still closed. We got a bag of shopping then continued our hike around Durham and the riverbanks before heading home. It stayed dry during the walk but it was also very warm, in fact it was around 16-17 degrees so I peeled off my three layer Goretex jacket and carried it back and Jane took her Goretex over trousers off. We will have to see what its like tomorrow as I need to get out on the bike for a spin! Below are a few snaps from the 4.7 mile hike, enjoy and hopefully more soon-

Strange place to leave a lump of rock!

Last night they tried to steal it from the car park entrance opposite, must have been too heavy so left it
