Holiday up in Peebles Part 4

This is where we stayed, it is right in the middle of the Town, only a couple of minutes walk to the Old Town end and a couple of minutes walk to the opposite end of the Town. We also had a walk around Hawick on the way up and did some shopping and a walk around the new Distillery. We also had a look up to Fort Kinnard one wet morning for a walk around and a look / dream at the fancy cars!
We also had a hike up the John Buchan Way to the top of the cairn and back. By god it was windy up there (see the video clip below) but good views over Peebles and the surrounding mountains. The Hydro was looking good in the sun, must have had a full external redec by the looks of it.
We also had a few cuppa's down the town. We tried Cocoa Black for the first time, it was over priced and the hot chocolate was cold! the best one we have found is the café inside Castles Kitchen shop, good value and a lot hotter hot chocolates! Jumping Jacks chippy was spot on as ever, the chippy on the high street has been taken over and now does pizzas, kebabs etc etc. The Butchers is still fantastic and spent a small fortune on goodies!
