Another early morning dark ride down to Durham, around Durham and over to Maiden Castle n back. The Lumiere preparations are in full swing and I stopped at the High Court display and took some photos of the magnificent set up on the grass (see photos below). The Palace Green has been covered with temporary matting and all the projectors are now in place. The tracks n trails were busier this morning with quite a few dog walkers, runners, cyclists, rowers enjoying the part sun rise for a change. In fact its the best sunrise we have had for a long time. It was also colder with the Garmin dipping down to 3.1 degrees, forecasters have decided we are getting snow at the back end of next week. I also decided to film a couple of short video clips in the dark just to see what they come out like.
The photo above was no flash on the camera just my helmet light, the photo below was with the flash on and one below that was no flash or no helmet light.
All in 15.5miles in 1hr 13 mins with 750ft of climbing. Below are a few snaps from the ride as well, enjoy and hopefully more soon-
Spot the sheep in the bottom right corner starring at me. |
