Very wet Saturday = a trip to Shildon Railway Museum & a 5k run

We the forecast for the weekend is dreadful as every here in Durham. I decided to go for a 5k run early morning as the rain had nit started and did a 35.48 and there was no wind. I just got back in and within minutes the heavens opened. On Friday night we had a think about where to go / what to do and book two tickets for Shildon Railway Museum. We have not been for quite a few years so thought it would fill in a few hours in the dry! There was plenty of car parking spaces at 10.30am when it opened. Scanned our tickets after a battle with the scanner then off we went. To be honest I don't think nothing much has changed since the last time we were there / since it has opened. The cafe is spot on and I had a sausage butty and Jane was on a scone.
After that we had a spin through to Bishop for some shopping then called in past Spenny then the crem then home and it was still raining.
