Sunny day out to Whitby

Well after a wet Thursday and Friday we finally got an overnight frost on Friday / Saturday morning. The forecast was looking good so we all had a family day out down to Whitby. We landed nice and early and parked up. We had a walk around the town on both sides of the water, climbed up the steps, down to the beach and along the pier. It was lovely and sunny but there was a cold strong wind in places. We called in to the Magpie takeaway for fish and chips and had them down at the bandstand area. Mid afternoon Whitby was getting very busy. By the time we left there was not one car parking space left in the three main carparks!
On the way home we called in past Bike Scene at Guisbrough for a look around, then over to Stokesley for a couple of items from Westbrook Cycles then over to Thornaby for hot drinks at Greggs and a look around NRG Cycles and pick up an order from Screwfix. By the time we got back in it was dark and we left in the dark! We were all shattered with all the sea air and well wind beaten.
Below are a few snaps from sunny Whitby, enjoy and hopefully more soon -
