Saturday morning local mainly gravel loop with Jane & Angus on E Bikes

First week back at work after being off for four weeks, totally run off my feet but I did manage a three hour hike when I finished on Thursday. Yesterday was catch up day of jobs and get the bikes ready for todays ride.
Jane, Angus and myself all headed off early doors with the sun blazing away and 8 degrees on the Garmin. It was nippy in the shaded parts first thing but soon warmed up. The sun never stopped blazing away for the whole 36 miles. The Garmin topped out at 24 degrees on the way back! We had a ride over to Baxters Woods the 'back way' before picking up the line to the junction where we turned left and straight to Bishop. The lines are bone dry, rock hard and dusty. There was not too many people oot n about. Once at Bishop we had breakfast in Spoons before climbing out of Bishop to pick up the old line to Spenny. From Spenny down to Croxdale then through the estate and out at Bowburn. Then the back way to the trod, in to and out of Durham then back home via Frankland. All in just under 36 miles in 3 hours 7 mins, ave 11.5mph and 1700ft of climbing. We called in past Bells on the way back to book a table for Bank Hol Monday. Below are some very sunny snap, enjoy and hopefully more soon -
