Glentress Red & Blue XC

The day after we rode from the hotel which is right next to the cycle track heading towards Peebles to turn off and head for up to the Peel - 1.4miles. From there me and Arran set off and did the red xc loop. Again the weather was lovely and sunny but still a nip in the air. It was all quiet on the tracks apart from a few heading up the track to buzzards nest. Again the trails have not changed from last year apart from getting even more rocky / rough going.

Once finished we rode back to MacDonald for a swim, steam and sauna!

The following day me and Arran did the same ride out to Glentress to do the Blue xc loop this time. Again it was lovely and sunny. The trails had dried up a lot more and were a lot less slippery. They have dug drainage channels out of nearly all the massive puddles which make a big difference.

all the log skinnys on the way up to Buzzards have gone now apart from this one, boring, get them back in I say.

once at Buzzards Nest we had a play on the freeride / box before heading back out on the blue.

after Glentress we headed back to the MacDonald but went straight on down through the village for a play on the newly surfaced pump track first.

Then we met up with Jane and headed to Peebles for some shopping.
