Well its a start of another new year so me, Jane & Angus headed off up to Weardale and parked up at Stanhope. The temperatures have been totally unreal the last few days but as ever in Weardale it was different - blowing a 30+ mph wind and drizzle showers. We did our normal loop and it was very muddy / wet under foot. Angus went his length on an off chamber descent and slid down the hill on his back. He was covered in mud from head to toe. Not to worry it was a good laugh. It was very quiet with just a few others out n about. All in 5.3miles in 2 hours with just under 600ft of climbing.
