Ride down to Durham, Maiden Castle / Houghall Woods n back

What a difference a day makes, it was around 7 - 9 degrees riding around Hamsterley and that was without the wind chill factor, 24 hours later and the sun is out, less wind and around 11 - 13 degrees. I was over dressed but not too much, it was nice to feel a little warmth for a change. It was a easier ride today, down to Durham, around the river banks then over to Maiden Castle, single tracks through Houghall woods then back to Maiden Castle, up the trod and back around the river banks before heading home taking in the dog kennel / sands loop. Called in past my mums on the way back. I was going to take the Mason but the E bike was easier / quicker to get to  / sort out and was ready to go. Below are a few snaps, enjoy and hopefully more soon -

Track closed from Elvet Bridge to South Bailey Bridge for 3 weeks
