Local Sunday morning gravelk ride to Hownsgill Viaduct and back

The weather forecast was looking good again so me and Jane had a ride up to Hownsgill Viaduct via the old railway lines. We turned on the viaduct and took a couple of quick snaps as you could hardly stand up with the wind. We called in past Hownsgill café on the way back for a refuel. We never noticed but we had a tailwind nearly all the way up so made it hard work coming back down. Its not very often you get the wind in that direction. Angus could not come as he has been working all weekend. I took the Mason and Jane was on her Scott Scale Contessa, no problems with the bikes but I did not have enough air in the rear tyre, soon sorted with the pump. Its been a couple of weeks since I have been out on the lines and its the driest / dusty I have seen them in a very long time. They are rolling very fast but the straight stretch past Knistley café take care as they have splattered the hawthorn hedges on both sides and is all over the track.
Below are a few snaps from the ride, enjoy and hopefully more soon.
