Saturday morning spin to Bishop n back

What a week I have had again, very busy at work and home. No spare time and tired nearly all week. Today the forecast was looking like solid rain for the whole entire day then last night it changed to dry apart from 9am until 1pm. We jumped onto the bikes and hit the old railway lines to Bishop. We were getting closer to Brancepth and it was starting to rain and went dark/cold, it was time to stop and put the rain coats on. Once we reached Willington it was heavy rain and even colder. The closer we got to Bishop it dried up and trails were still dusty. We looked back and the rain was chasing us down so we hit the café for a breakfast special before the rain started again. By the time we were finished our cuppa and buttie it had dried up again. On the way back the temperature went from 9 degrees up to 14 degrees. The rain coats were back off again and packed away. The lines were very quiet, only seen one other bike, one horse and a few dog walkers.
Arran took the Dale Super X Hi Mod, The Reynolds front wheel has spat out a spoke and needs a new nipple so we fitted a spare Mavic front wheel at the last minute. I took the Cube as it was still in the van and Jane was on her Scott Scale Contessa. I wish I took the Mason, might try and get out on that before we go to the quad racing tomorrow am. Below are a few snaps from the ride, enjoy and hopefully more soon -
