Fresh Goods Sunday - KMC X11-SL Chain

Its not very often I fit anything but Sedis or now Sram chains as they last along time, change well and tend not to let me down in any way. I have never tried a KMC chain but am always reading good reviews on KMC chains. Since building the Pilgrims its the only 11 speed road groupset I have and did not have a spare 11 speed road chain in my stock. This model comes in two colours - silver & gold and were both the same price rrp £62.50, but shop around as there are good discounts to be had. KMC also do limited edition chains where the links and plates are different colours but they cost mega bucks and you will have to keep your chain mega clean all the time to see the colours. I popped it on the scales (still in packaging) just to see if it was anywhere near the claimed 239g that's on the box. I think it will be nearly bang on without the box etc.
I am not going to use it yet until the Ultegra chain wears out on the Pilgrims or starts playing up.
Here is the manufacturers blurb on this model -

Lightweight shorter length pins length combine with high-grade materials to reduce weight. Tensile strength safety is assured with a minimum 1020kgf above ISO standards.
