After returning from a wind swept, flooded/snowy Scotland the sun has never stopped shinning and nearly 18 degrees every day, typical. Not too worry lovely weather for catching up with all my external jobs over the last four and a half days. This afternoon is the first chance we have had to get out a bike ride and we made the most of it. Summer clothing dragged out of the cupboards and normal mtb shoes instead of winter boots. We had a ride down into Durham then around Maiden Castle, loop around the trod and back to the old baths bridge as the ice cream van was at the bottom of the hill. He is way cheaper than the boat house ice cream's and better tasting! We then had a gentle ride home via Frankland. Lovely to get back home and not to have to wash the bikes and muddy clothes for a change.
