I was over on the coast today so on the way back i called in past Hetton Lyons Country Park to plan the course for the MBE One Peak of Hetton on Sun 28th Sept - yes not long now. Its going to be just over 1.4 miles on fast flowing tracks with one short new section of singletrack and 0.40mile fast downhill. Depending on the ground conditions on the day i might have to add an extra loop on as its still riding very fast. The council was also cutting the grass with the 8ft cutter so lovely wide clear tracks on the hillside. After that i went for a ride around the back where the wind farms are and along the old lines where i used to going running years ago on a Saturday morning when the kids were at Hetton Hawks training. On the way home just caught Homer Hill farm before closing for some meat! Below are a few photos, enjoy -
