Well i actually ordered it from Westbrook cycles last Wednesday and it arrived the next day but i didnt get a chance to fit it until early Saturday morning. What a beast it is, the size / volume of the tyre is just unreal, even compaired to other 4" tyres that i have. I also ordered a new Surly inner tube earlier ready for the fitting. The tyre went on a treat, slack as ever on the beads and blew it up for it to then come back down straight away! whipped the tube out and found a cut approx 5mm long, tried patching it but keeps going down. Not very often i have had a faulty tube but shit happens and everything cannot be perfect. A replacement one is on 24hr delivery thanks to Westys again. Anyway more about the tyre, as i have said its massive and the knobbles that are huge, this thing is a beast. It has lifted up the front end of the Carbon Beargrease by over an inch which i noticed straight away on the first ride but after a few miles i didnt feel the difference. It has took up plenty of clearance on the carbon beargrease forks but still enough mud clearance left. Today was the first proper offroad ride with it rolling out the front, you can notice the difference in weight of the front wheel and takes more effort to life the front end over obstacles etc. It rolls better than i thought it would on the tarmac inter linking road sections and not a massive amount more buzz either. I have been waiting a while to try out this sized tyre and it certainly has not disappointed on first impressions. Below are a few photos from todays ride and the tyre -
