Fresh Goods Sunday - Part 1 Sram PC-XX1 Chain

I have been running a Sram XX1 groupset on my Salsa Carbon Beargrease from new. The bike was purchased on Christmas Eve 2013 and has performed fantastic, its never dropped a chain yet and has been tested on local trails, old lines, many trail centres, mtb xc races etc. Yes it has streched as like any other chain would but not to stage where it needs replacing. There is a couple of things that i have noticed compaired to 8/9/10 speed sram chains is it likes to be kept as clean as possible and well lubed. It makes some strange noises when covered in wet sloppy mud or is bone dry and needs lube. The rrp is high but like with all Sram chains if you shop around there and many good discounts to be had. I have this one as a spare 'just in case garage stock' or when the original wears out. Sram blurb -
