First ride with 4" tyres on a 26+" rims

Today was my first ride with my new wheels on my Carbon Beargrease. I didnt have much time so it was a quick out and back blast along the old railway lines - nothing technical to test them. First thing i noticed is that they have a more of a bounce feel to them and less noise on the tarmac sections - this will probably because of the more rounded profile of the tyre on the narrower 50mm rim. I have kept the same tyre pressure as the 82mm rim. There was a stong head wind most of the way out so could not feel any difference if they spun upto speed any quicker but when i turned and got the tail wind it took no effort to spin the bike upto speed and maintain it. I have yet to test them on technical singketrack or climbing/descending. As for the original wheels that i took off i have fitted a new 160mm KCNC rotor and have a spare inner tube but waiting for the tyre to come into stock in the uk - Surly Bud 26" folder. As for the rear that has no cassette or rotor at the mo but was thinking of trying a Vee Rubber 4.7" snowshoe tyre if they ever come to the uk as there is not enough frame clearance for a 5" Lou. Below are some photos from todays ride
