Fresh Goods Sunday - Time IClic Cleats

When I bought my new Sidi Shot road shoes I was going to transfer over the old Time cleats from my spare pair of road shoes before selling them but looking at them they were showing signs of wear and tear. I had a spare pair in my box so fitted them instead. I don't do that many miles with my road shoes now so the cleats are lasting longer than normal. They are getting harder to find now so have ordered another spare pair. They click in the pedals smoothly from new but are a soft plastic and if you do any amount a walking in them they tend to get chucks out of the cleat and the plastic tears. These have a label on the back of the packaging stating V2 so not sure if Time have changed them at all. They look just the same as my older ones apart from the colour of the plastic so may be they have changed the plastic to be harder wearing!

Local Durham villages loop on the Specialiazed Creo SL

After a days graft yesterday gardening and plodding on with jobs I had to get out on the bike this morning. The sun came out around 6.45am so I headed off out on my normal Durham villages loop. I took the Creo SL again as it still had the roads wheels on. I have sealant / air leakage on the side walls of the front tyre so I will have to take that back to Evans Cycles but the back one is ok. The roads were lovely and quiet this morning with most drivers passing wide apart from one young lad who over took me on a blind left hand bend whilst I was trying to turn right, plonker. Garmin is still down so don't have all my stats but I covered just under 32 miles with 550m of climbing. Local road ride on the Creo SL - nippy one

After yesterdays day of continuous heavy rain, but it did stop after teatime I decided to hit the local tarmac as anything off road will have been up the eyes and flooding.
After fitting the speed sensor disc rotor lock ring magnet to the rear wheel yesterday I swapped over the wheels on to the bike and decided to go for a local road loop. I woke up to the sun shinning around 5.15am so I got changed / sorted and headed off out for an early morning local road loop. It was around 11 degrees and the sun only lasted for around 10-15 minutes! then it clouded over. I headed off down to Chester Le Street then up to Stanley, Pontop Pike , Maiden Castle, Burnhope, Waldridge then back home. All in just under 29 miles with nearly 1700ft of climbing. I was going to post a photo of the route but Garmin is still down, I will add one when Garmin is working and I log back on to upload my next blog.
