NECCL RD9 South Shields and a catch up

Yesterday was the grand final of the Neccl 2019 series at Gypsies Green velodrome, South Shields. It was not raining for a change and there was some lovely sunshine. As normal though with being on the coast there was very strong bitter cold wind. As ever with the course there was no mud as the ground drains very well due to it being sand. The course was a mix of all the courses we have ran at the venue before. Many thanks must go to all the helpers / organisers o the day. Great to see so many pull together for the last event of the season.
We have put up two albums, one of the KIDS and one of the MAIN RACE, the cameras were playing up with the cold and I spent most of time in the hut sorting out the league presentation so not as many photos as normal.
After the main race the league finishers were presented with their prize and the following the on the day prizes the agm started.
Myself and Jon have both resigned from our positions but Mal Gray has very kindly stepped up to the position of treasurer and Heather Huntley as Secretary. We also have a potential 8 or 9 events on the cards for the 2020 series. There is slight changes to race entry fees and race start times. Apart from that all systems are go for 2020.

As you will have probably guessed by now I have still not been out on my bike! I have been working near 12 hour days at work to try and get caught up and I was also on election duties on Thursday and Friday. This weekend I haven't got time for any leisure activities but hopefully next week will calm down a little and if the weather is ok I will get back out again.
I am also hoping Fresh Goods Sunday blog will return next weekend as well.
All the best and keep checking back for more -
