A rather wet, windy, misty but very hot gravel / tarmac ride today on the Pilgrims. NECCL South Sheilds this Saturday

As the title says todays ride was rather damp, windy, misty but very warm. I decided to drag out the Bowman's Pilgrim today for a mixed ride of old railway gravel tracks and some quiet tarmac country lanes / roads. There are some big puddles forming on the old railway lines now and they starting to get soft in places with the leaves falling from the trees. It was very quiet out on the ride with only a couple of other cyclists and dog walkers near the end, as for the roads only a few passing cars on the busier sections. I had to turn my lights on when I was gaining some height as is was still misty / foggy up Tow Law way.
As for the bike well the mudguards are still rattling/rubbing slightly, the Di2 is bang on and no problems with the Crosslight wheels.
Below are a few photos from the ride, more very heavy rain tomorrow then drying up for Thurs / Fri.
NECCL RD 3 is on Saturday at Gypsies Green, South Shields. There is one thing for sure there will be no mud there as the soil is sand based and drains very well, very fast under the tyre. Racing starts from midday- cracking venue / course followed by a walk along the beach to the chippy!
