NECCL RD5 Hedley West Farm - photos and a damp walk around Durham

NECCL returned to Hedley West Farm for the third year, thanks to Muckle CC for organising the event. The weather running up to the event was wet to say the least and it poured down all Friday night but the rain kept off for the races on the day. The ground was soft and muddy going to make it nice and challenging for all the riders. Below are a few snaps from the 730+ photos in the ALBUM

Today the forecast was heavy rain early morning so we did not go out on the bikes. We ended up going to Tesco's at Gilesgate for some shopping then parked up at Benthouse lane and had a walk down the trod into Durham. We had a walk around Durham city centre, around the river banks then into the Cathedral café for a cuppa and cake. After that we had a walk out of Durham, around the river banks and back up the trod to Gilesgate, 6.5 miles. Below are a few overcast, cloudy and damp looking photos from the hike out-

Some more reading material for the next few wet weeks ahead
