Its been a few years since I have ridden the Whinlatter trails so when we were in the Lakes for a break we had a spin out on the mtb's. It rained nearly for solid for three days but stopped on the fourth day so Jane dropped me and Angus off at Whinlatter and we did the red north & south loops. Nothing has changed really but they have managed to drain most the bigger puddle holes which has made a big difference. We were both still soaked but it was more pleasurable to ride the loops. The second half of the descent on the South side is the best section by far as its fast flowing and not jaw breaking rough. Once we did the loop we then rode down Whinlatter pass and along the cycle lane into Keswick to meet back up with Jane & Arran. Below are a few pics from the ride. More to follow soon -
