Yes we return back to the grounds surrounding the Sports Centre @ Meadowfield tomorrow (Sat 7th Oct). The venue is looking in very good shape, the grass is short and firm going in most places with only a couple of soft areas.
Car parking - is FREE so use the main carpark to the right when you come in off the main road. Do not use the smaller car park to the rear the centre as this is for centre customers. If the car park is full there is additional free car parking on the Ind Est opposite.
Bike / Shoe cleaning - DO NOT clean your shoes / bike etc in the carpark please. Use the grass verges / fields.
Sports Centre - if you need to use the facilities with in the sports centre DO NOT walk in with muddy shoes / clothes please.
Course - do not ride on any tarmac / gravel paths please, keep to the marked course / grass.
Travel - Advance warning - travelling to Meadowfield sports
centre. The gas board are digging up the bottom on Nevilles cross bank on
sat/sun and there will be temp lights on which will probably cause big traffic
jams. If you are coming from the south on the a167 turn off left at the honest
lawyer and go up Browney bank and turn right at the top. If you are coming from
Chester le street direction on the a167 go straight on through Nevilles cross
and turn right at the honest lawyer. Hope this helps, i would recommend you add
some extra travelling time on just in case.
