Not much time today so was a quick blast along the old railway to Bishop & back. The temperature was only just above 10 degrees and stiff old wind blowing again. It was overcast when I left and by the time I was reaching Bishop the skies were very dark. Just after my U turn to head back I could feel splashes of rain but it light rain and dried up again by the time I reached Willington. The lines are still bone dry, dusty and very fast under the tyre. The line was very quiet today and only seen another two cyclists and four walkers the whole time. Below are a couple of pics from the ride.
Yesterday I also ordered up some Surly Dirt Wizard 29 x 3+" 120tpi folding tyres for the Krampgrease over winter / wetter parts of spring & autumn. Surly have taken years to get these tyres to manufacture then to the distributors. Hope they have more grip than the Knards / Chronicles. The tread pattern is different to the 26" version which I have by all accounts.
Anyway Calvin from Westbrook cycles sorted them out £125 for the pair, rrp £75 each. They are not on the website but taking orders over the phone.
UPDATE - just recieved email, they have landed, that was quick! Cracking service yet again
