Finally back out on the bike for a steady spin. Oh and my second 650b x 50 tyre has finally arrived

Firstly I would like to apologise for the lack of blogs over the last 3 to 4 weeks. I was feeling unwell for a while after the wife passed over her flu to me but after two weeks it was not shifting and I was feeling worse. After several visits, calls etc to the Doctors I finally got to see a nurse, not a doctor after 3 weeks and found out I have more than just flu. I am now on 22 tablets every day and I am rattling to say the least but have picked up a little. They are going to refer me to the hospital after the New Year for further investigations, so we will see what that brings.
Anyway the weather has been crap to say the least here in Co Durham with hardly no sun or frosts but plenty of wind, rain and cloud. But today the sun came out so I also went out for a very steady spin on the bike. I was down in Bishop Auckland so picked up the old railway line to Spenny. Through Spenny, Tudhoe Village, Croxdale then under the viaduct and up the climb to the Bransden to pick up the old railway line back to Bishop.
The lines were not too muddy or soft for the time of year. All the fallen trees have been cut back and tided up. With about 4 miles to go at the end I had a puncture on the front. Not too worry the sun was out and it was very pleasant to fix it in the sun.
All in just over 19 miles in 1hr 26 mins with just under 800ft of climbing. Below are a few snaps from the ride and hopefully more soon -

Talking about punctures my second tyre from a pair of tyres I ordered many, many moons ago from PBK turned up this week. In hindsight I should have fitted it before going out on todays ride as I may not have had a flat tyre as I have set it up tubeless like the back one. The bike now has a matching pair of tyres.
