If you have followed my blog over the years you will know that I have bought a few pairs of Hunt wheels and I have never had any problems with them. They were a really bargain price wheelset when they first hit the market but with everything they have sneaked up in price over the years but there range of wheels has massively grown as well. Riders used to have bearings issues years ago but I think Hunt have sorted this quality problem out now and every pair I have owned have not suffered from bearing wear, always run true, no loose spokes etc. I bought these to go onto my Specialized Creo 2 gravel bike as the stock wheels come with a DT Swiss alu rim and budget hubset. I have fitted 2.2" tyres on my first pair and have run them for nearly a year now and never had any major issues. The only thing I could note is sometimes the SRAM freehub goes out with a crunch now and then. Comparing them to my other DT SWISS wheelsets on my Creo 1 you can tell and feel there is a difference in ride quality mainly offroad but then again they are around a quarter of the price! HUNT always post them straight away and have always arrived the following day. They are always well packaged and come with all the spares you need - see list below. For the money you cannot really go wrong.
If fact I bought my second pair last month to run a narrower tyre on ready for some drier riding conditions.
This will be part of a four week Fresh Goods Sunday, next week is the cassettes, followed by the rotors then last but not least the tyres.

TECHNOLOGY _
Fully recyclable thermoset carbon technology with no performance compromise.
H_Cyclo technology enables the recycling of both the carbon fibre materials and the epoxy resin used in the thermoset carbon fibre molding process, which is the most mature carbon fibre manufacturing process available for bicycle rims and components, generally yielding a higher strength-to-weight ratio when compared to other carbon production methods such as thermo-plastic resin systems. This may well change over time as technologies mature, but for now thermoset is the leader in strength-to-weight ratio for bicycle rims and frames.
Using a chemical solution called CleaVER, the carbon fibres and epoxy resin are separated using heat and agitation, so that both components can be re-used to create new (smaller format) carbon components without the by-products of waste solvents or pollutants. Secondary products can be constructed without the addition of virgin carbon fibres, significantly reducing the production emissions required. Originally created to enable the recycling of large format glass fibre wind turbine blades, the recyclable resin has no impact on the structural integrity or strength-to-weight ratio of the carbon layup, making the technology ideal for precision, high-performance rims. HUNT will cover the collection of product at end-of-life, making the process seamless and no-cost for riders, should their wheels become unusable in an accident or crash.
