Well here we go a pair of fresh new tyres from Specialized. We have been waiting a while for them to land in the UK but the tan wall version is in stock with the black wall version to land sometime in February 2027.
Yes is probably the wrong time of year to fitting and trying to use the Pathfinder model but I always have my first Creo 2 with two wheels sets of knobbly and semi knobbly tyres fitted.
First one out of the box the weight was 560g and 592g on the second tyre. This is what is reported across the rest of the world where you sometimes you get a light one and sometimes you get a heavier one.
The sidewalls seems thin when you fold them out so time will tell how durable they are. Fitting them onto Roval Terra CLX II wheels with an internal width of 25mm come out at 54mm at the widest point. If like other Specialized mtb tyres (which these are based on) do balloon with use and become wider overtime.
Fitted onto my Specialized Creo 2 S-Works there is still plenty of clearance on the fork crown, seatstays and chainstays.
RRP here in the UK is £45.00 each and I bought my pair from Infinity Cycles, Langley Moor, Durham for £40.00 each thanks to Andrew, cheers. They still have some stock if you are after a pair.
I will report back again after I get a few rides / miles on them, see how they perform in the autumn conditions here in County Durham.
