I don't normally go out for a ride later on in the day but I felt rough all day and could no be arsed so after teatime I hit the old railway at Langley Park and headed up the hill to Consett. It started off lovely and sunny but the temperature had dropped which made it more pleasant. I could not believe just how quiet it was, it was like Covid times again. Once at Consett I turned left at the crossroads, over the viaduct and up to Whitehall picnic area. This was my turning point and headed back down. By now it had clouded over and it felt even cooler. By the time I was back in the valley at Lanchester I actual felt cold! All in 20 miles on the nose in 1hr 24mins with 700ft of climbing. Below are a couple of snaps from the ride, enjoy and hopeful more soon -
