Well what a crap weekend of weather. I did not go out much on the Saturday and I never crossed the front or back door on Sunday! Yesterday there was a good covering of snow and driving around the County was as ever an experience and a half with the 10mph club out again. Last night we had snow forecasted all night but woke to about another 1/2". So I dragged the mtb out and took it for a local spin down to Durham, over to Maiden Castle, up the Trod, back down and around the riverbanks then back home via the dog kennels / The sands. All in just under 13 miles in 1hr 12mins. All the trails / tracks were spot on with some lovely fresh crunchy snow under the tyres. There was not that much ice but the back / estate roads were lethal. The main roads were spot on. It was all quiet with a few other walkers / joggers out. Below are a few overcast and some sunny snaps from the ride and a short video clip at the bottom. Hopefully more soon-
Update on Specialized seat clamp for my Creo. Harrogate said SpezcUK had them in stock and should receive my replacement by last Friday, well no seat clamp landed so I dropped them an email and said it had come in late Friday so they were going to post in on Monday (yesterday) 2nd Class so hopefully will land tomorrow. That will be 10 days for it to come from Chessington (North West London) to Durham. Christ I could have pedalled down there and back quicker than that.
Anyway Singlerack Issue 135 Feb edt has landed on the door mat.
And I have been researching into the new Specialized Turbo road remote (blips, remote shifters for the power). Part number 98921-5710 are now available as an after market fit, they come fitted to some of the 2021 Creo range. RRP £65 inc p&p. More on these when they arrive from Certini Cycles.
