First damp year in over two months, Bishop n back on Mason

Well the heavens have finally opened in County Durham. Yesterday we had some rain in the afternoon then it dried up then around 10.30pm we had some lovely thunder and lighting. The rain was bouncing over a foot high off the road. When I woke at 5.30am there was another heavy rain shower, good for the gardens etc. There was more rain forecasted from 1pm right the way through the afternoon but it never happened. I had a ride through to Bishop along the old damp railway line to pay a deposit on our next House of Smudge purchase. The lines were lovely and damp, the rain has solved all the dust issues! there was no puddles on the lines and only one or two on the short sections of tarmac. The lines were nice and quiet as well with only a few others out and about. The max temperature was around 17 degrees. I took the Mason today as I wanted to try out the new Brooks saddle. First impressions are good but my butt has been moulded to an slr shape for 20+ years so might take some bedding in lol. Below are a few cool, damp, overcast pics. Hopefully more soon -

Below is a pic of Jane collecting our last purchase the artist himself - John Smith (Smudge). Every summer we grow two sun flowers in our garden and we also have a little friendly red robin who sits a few feet away when I am in the gardens (top of spade in the painting)
